What are your favourite moments or sketches in the series? I ask because I want to tell mine!
My absolute favourite is Francis in Fantasy Traffic Island. The way he's silent the whole time, then when the pedestrian leaves he puts on that hilarious accent 'Goobye! Goobye!'
(at 16:15)
I'm also very fond of the Jean Steep sketch, where Shaun spends two minutes cutting down her act, then his completely phony laugh 'Hahaha, oh dear, oh dear! Very funny Jean Steep.'
(at 2:23)
Oh, the Andrew Denton interview! Its an all right bit, but out of left field when Shaun responds to Andrew's 'what's the movie about' with 'about 90 minutes' and then it cuts to him laughing out of proportion with the joke... classic.

Ah dear, so many to choose from! Undeniably, my all-time favourite Micallef moment (of all time) is the blankety-blank parody which makes absolutely no sense:
Unfortunately, they miss the slapping of Wayne at the beginning, which I shriek with laughter at. Every time. Topped off by "Six fucks for Valerie! But pardon the double-entendre. This is a family show. And I will not abide filth."
Then there's this sketch which is my favourite on the Pogram:
And then my favourite line; "Heinrich's challenge is to canoe off a building - and die."
Actually, I'm inspired, I'm gonna go dig out my box set and watch the entire series trois today. It's that or cleaning the house. -PPP

Ha, I LOVE the slap and the "I will not abide filth' line. I always thought Cyrill was a real person, is that reference supposed to make no sense?
And yeah, that parliament sketch is one of the best. I love watching the actors in the background smiling at his lines. And Wayne's laugh gets me every time.
I just watched all of season 1 actually, on a Micallef kick at the moment. Thanks for talking with me p1ckle!

Spiffington Manse, Sotto Voce, Bob Franklin's "Paul Nolte from Zig Zag Direct" bit, and English Have A Go are clear favourites of mine.
Also, the alien masseuse segue.

Oh man, that masseuse character was gold. Do you enjoy rhetoric?
Was that character on Newstopia (with the SLUT banana) a relation of his/it?

I think so - Barada Nikto, if I remember correctly. Wasn't it closely followed by "What the Fuck Were We Thinking? Andrew Lloyd Webber's Rise to Fame"? Or is that another fauz-SBS ad I'm thinking of?
Barada Nikto rings a bell, actually, aside from Alien Kitchen, and I do believe Shaun drops it somewhere in Pogram (thank god - this would've been off topic otherwise). I'll have to check. -PPP

Two of my favourite bits: Shaun as Ned Kelly:
And Shaun as a non-Francophone Frenchman:
