Everyone, my friend has decided to make me a T-shirt for Christmas, with whatever I want on it, and Shaun's interview with Sam Mac inspired me to go Micallef, because he was just so pleased by Sam's effort. But since there's such a wealth of possibility, I thought we might get our creative juices going and help me decide how I'm going to approach this. Basically a quote and a picture would be ideal, with a suitable colour for the shirt. I've had a few ideas myself: 1.With a white tee, picture on the back with the words "We will continue to watch your paranoia with keen interest, for the rest of your life" on the front. 2.This, and this alone on a black tee because it's such a great picture. Thanks are due to the Micallef Tumbl(e)r for this one! 3.Just this, on either black or white tee (maybe I can convince my friend to make both!) Again, thanks to the Micallef Tumbl(e)r for this. A bit of an unsual thread, but one that I'd greatly appreciate any input in! Let me know your innermost thoughts! -PPP

The 1st one is excellent, and perfect choice of quote too. I just wish there was a really hi-res version available so you can get the best quality image for the shirt. How does this grab you? i53.tinypic.com/2lcnvuo.jpg (If anyone can get a cleaner scan of this from their MT DVD covers, please do!) Subtle, but at least it would last you more than 13 weeks/wears. I don't have a higher res of this, but it's ideal to add a quote in big chunky letters next to him, like, I dunno... i51.tinypic.com/2i1pix4.png - It's a guaranteed conversation starter. Friends! Strangers! Social workers! Also, I'm glad you like #2. I'm pretty certain I was on a hormonal high when I was crafting that. Eeeeeehhh That last bit of SMWAH always gets me.

Oh dear. Ooooh dear.... These suggestions are just too fantastic, I'll have to get my friend to dish out monthly shirts! With the one of Shaun looking very nerdy and innocent* there's so many possibilties! And I haven't even started to delve into Myron, or David McGhan etc. etc. Or even Good Evening - some of the black and white photos are awesome, and if they're in the public domain why not? Also, I'm glad you like #2. I'm pretty certain I was on a hormonal high when I was crafting that. Eeeeeehhh That last bit of SMWAH always gets me. Which I'm yet to watch, that SMWAH. I only have enough friends to buy me Preincarnate, Micallef Tonisht and the shirt this christmas. Everyone else insists on classical music CDs, which I do love dearly, but there's a Micallef education to be had! * I'm trying to remember one sketch from the Pogram, where Shaun spends about a minute shuffling down a hallway, and then approaches Francis at a desk and says something, but for the life of me I can't remember what he says (in fact, I always had difficultly trying to catch the line over the laughter. Damn people who think people are funny)

He's Ben Chisholm & he's here to do the time & motion study! I spent five minutes remembering the name, so that bit might be wrong... ah senility, so glad to meet you!
Almost on topic, I do have some t-shirt designs I did a few years back: they might as well get used (if anyone likes them). Someone here suggested a while ago that I get some sort of photobucket or something for Micallef pics. Any suggestions? (for 'suggestions' read 'detailed instructions for the elderly). I really need to clear some memory, but I don't want to delete anything!! I could chuck them onto mediafire, but there's not much preview with that.
Oh & how about a t-shirt 'ripping' open to reveal Shaun ripping his t-shirt open a la your avatar PPP??

That is utterly brilliant. Egad! So many great ideas! By the way, photobucket is very user-friendly, which unfortunately has the consequence of too many inept Twilight fans posting picture upon picture of a nobody called Cedric Diggory. Euch. If you take along a bag of garlic, photobucket shouldn't pose any problems! -PPP

Australian TV's Most Sexi[e]st Man is a total win, especially with that seedy wink of his. I'm spoiled for choice here! (But by all means, if you have more ideas, keep them coming Perhaps my friend will be so overwhelmed that she will simply *have* to make them all) -PPP

Thanks Thrillho! It's really just a rehash of the CD covers idea: www.vividly.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/SMaudio.html(not the actual cover, but it's in with everything else) Hey, is this a shameless plug or what?? PPP, the Australia's Sexist t-shirt is, strangely*, still available to order: shop.cafepress.co.uk/shaun-micallef(*Proceeds go to the late lamented website, but there shouldn't be any problems with the actual shirt delivery)

Fantastic! I've had another idea (just the one I'm afraid) and not sure whether it needs sprucing up, with Tim Cauldron's face or without? With Newstopia logo, without? More importantly, with Shaun's face, or without? You help me decide.* * Also just general suggestions to make it look better. Any fonts you like? But not Helvetica!-PPP

I love eet! It's fine the way it is, but if you need an accompanying face, I'd pick the passion-filled mug of Tim. Fonts... *beard stroke* Modern No. 20?

I've taken you up on that picture with the big, friendly lettered quote next to it: So this will probably be the first shirt. The first of many? Here's hoping! -PPP

And here is the completed[sic] H20 shirt: I probably will just clean up the blur effect - it's a difficult process, especially late at night where all the pixels on the screen mesh together anyways. Working on the shirt ripping to reveal shirt-ripping Shaun Micallef design, and some more quote/picture mashing. -PPP

I can't stop giggling at that one!
You've inspired me to get one done. I might go completely retro(¡loco!) and get one of teen Shaun (like one of the posters from Pogram).
