Well, it's probably not called that, but it was announced during the week that Shaun will be hosting Channel Ten's NYE show. Details are thin on the ground, but it seems the idea is that Shaun is at home trying to have a quiet night in but celebrity guests keep dropping by. Tony Martin is (maybe) one if rumours are to be believed...

Cheers 13! I hope someone will be sober enough to 'downpour' it so I can see it... before Easter

This particular "scoop" comes from the Herald Sun's "Confidential" section sometime last week (Wednesday I think). That section's basically just gossip and press releases, but I reckon we can trust it on this one.

That sounds amazing. I hate the expectation of having to do something on NYE so the idea of spending it with Shaun sounds pretty damn good to me.

IMDB info: writers are McCaffrie, Micallef & Ward, & whilst there's no confirmation of T Martin, there is the welcome return of F Greenslade

Sitting at home doing nothing on New Years Eve never looked so attractive. Of course, if I am sitting at home doing nothing on New Years Eve I'll be too drunk to focus on the TV set by the time this goes to air, but hopefully I'll remember to record it.

Not really surprisingly, but I can't find a copy of this online anywhere.
